FISH, please e-mail me for posting privileges here. I want the 1/32 stuff to be here and not on the main forum.

I,m sorry I,ll try and keep over here when possible but this format on this blog just really isn,t set up in a way for us 1/32 scale guys to bring up any new subjects, and only a select few can bring up any new topics and there is no way for us to show any pictures of our work. It would be cool to have some how to posts with pictures and a way for guys to share there work and ideas. I have done a few of these how to type posts on other forums and have also learned a great deal from these type of posts done by others but the point just really dosn,t get across without pictures. FISH! <"))))><
It is a discredit to HaT - not to mention rather rude - to relegate the 1/32 customers to the blog. It is as if we do not rate nor warrant acknowledgement as actual paying customers that support their business in a legitimate way. "Oh THEM? We keep them off-site! We don't want THEIR KIND getting in the way of our REAL customers - ya know, the 28mm gamers!" (much sarcasm intended), or so it seems they say.
Since they have more of a 1980's bulletin board for a forum, the easiest way wowuld be to require people posting about 1/32 to preface their subject with 1/32, e.g. "1/32 Converting", et cetera. In fact, that should be required for all scales.
And before anyone says, "Yeah, but they provide us with this cool blog". Yes, this FREE Google-owned and maintained blog. Kudos. (Yet more sarcasm.)
1) Some time back, I asked those who were interested in starting threads on this blog to contact me to give them posting privileges, I believe that post is still around.
2) To George, both other forum and this blog are "off site". I have been trying to set up a blog as an alternative to the main forum for a long time, and starting it for 1/32 scale was seen as a way to increase participation for 1/32 collectors, not to decrease it.
No scale is being "regulated" anywhere. Both blog and forum are free to use. It's for the convenience of those customers who don't want to sift through 1/72 chat and vice versa and I'm surprised it would be taken in a negative way.
3) There are successful 1/32 blogs out there. It takes participation to make it popular. Splitting the readership to another forum tends to decrease participation. I'm trying to make this blog more popular, not less.
4) FISH, it's just as easy to put up pics here as on the other forum. If you check out other blogs, they are all full of pictures.
To Hatblogger: Thank you for replying! (The following numbered responses are in direct referral to your post for reference.)
1) Is a nice idea but still puts strict limitations on, and does not go far in, promoting the site or garnering posts for it (as is readily evident). I, for one, believe you had the very best of intentions when setting up the blog with hopes of encouraging interest.
2)As stated previously "best of intentions". But it seems we 32nd-ers (a phrase I just coined)do go to both and, in fact, perhaps felt a bit special that we had our own "club house" from which to plot the downfall of the lesser scales! MUHWAHHHH HAHAHA - oh, wait... I wasn't supposed to reveal that part of the plan! SO... disregard everything after "club house" to this point.
Now, where was I...? oh, yes...!
Our own "club house"... since we are a comparatively smaller sector of HaT's soft-plastic world.
Perhaps list a NEW RULE for forum posts stipulating the use of 1/72 or 1/32 as the first word in the subject line or adding that as a mandatory selection when composing the post.
3) Yes there are. But primarily places to go and read, not to share ideas as Timothy desires. Mind, there are a number of fantastic sites dedicated to large-scale miniatures painting, et al, but they don't cover soft-plastic toy soldiers - they are more metal, resin and Historex oriented.
You might consider using a very good and very free product like http://www.phpbb.com for creating a new, more functional and user-friendly BB where everything would be readily visible, neatly organized, searchable and easily accessible to all participants.
4) AH HA! I KNEW THIMOTHY was to blame somewhere in this! ;-)
I don't like this type of forum for swapping ideas. It was ok when there is up dates on HaT products ,which I am a big fan of. But there won't be any further updates so .... What purpose will it serve?

To Hatblogger:
This is rather Post Script to the previous message; but the reason for the tone responses is due to the wording of the post we are responding to.
Also, how does one get posting privileges. There are a number of topics that can be started easily.
(Need email with which to contact.)
George
@George, thanks for your comments.
Please feel free to e-mail toyabc@hat.com for posting privileges - and that's for everyone who's interested in adding to the blog.
