Now, if only they were in SHAKO and not helmet! Especially since the shako was worn far more in the periods of active engagement
(active years of fighting: 1809 & 1812 - 1815) than the helmet was.

Sans Guff!

@George, this set has removable shakos/helmets.

This was one of the sets I was really looking forward to. I can see a lot of conversions mixing these guys with parts from the Italeri sets. If we get these released in the 3 set M.A.C there will be lots of parts for conversions and if the size mixes well with Italeri,s sets I,ll be in conversion heaven.
Three sets of different head gear lots of poses to work with! Then you can do Hungarian style blue pants conversions and start all over again!!!
These will be fun! I have put off starting an Austrian army waiting for these guys.

Please, Please, Please, cast them in light "cream" or white for those that don't need or want to paint them.

I hope future Spanish will be "white" as well.

This Austrian set with choises of head gear looks great!

Initially, which head will they be cast with? Or will both be seperate?

Thanks!

George

@George, the masters are done with them separate.

Got it! Like the SYW Prussians with separate HaTs not heads. X-D

Separate heads with neck hole and socket like the old swopet figures would be better then separate hats No!??? The heads could be switched from figure to figure to make each figure look more different from the rest and you could have guys looking in different directions and have bare head sets, camp hats, bandaged heads and if future sets had the same size holes those heads could be mixed in as well for even more variation.
Sets of just various could also be also and used for Hat figures as well as any other plastic figures for conversions.
A bear is is not limited just to Napoleonics but could be used for anything and a set of bear and bandaged heads, heads with mustaches, beards glasses. pipes/cigars in there mouths ect.. could be a good seller and of interest to MANY collectors.

Food for thought!

In order to edit, just copy and paste your old post to a new post. Edit what you need to change and delete the old post. That appears to be the only way to edit with this blog.

It is evident that there is a lot of interest in the Napoleonic Austrians. This doesn't surprise me. We had a long string of discussion (last year? or earlier?)on helmets vs shakos with lots of comments pitching into the debate. I take it Hatblogger, that this is unlikely to make 2012 releases. Can we take it then that we might see this as part of 2013 releases? I just wonder what the barometer of demand will be for you that the market is picking up and ready for new 1:32 releases. I take it that must be based upon sales of new or existing sets. Launching a popular product that there is lot of interest in must be one of the ways of stimulating the market and getting us all spending again - especially if there has been a long gap with previous releases.
