1815 French

Final masters, now's the time to make any comments as they will soon be going to the factory. So, here we have a set of 1815 Napoleonic French in full dress, gaiters and all. No action poses I'm afraid, maybe later.

Elites

Elite backpack

Fusiliers

Backpacks

Extra heads

This will be a set of 6 figures: 4 fusiliers and 2 elites. The fusiliers will have 4 different backpacks to give them some variety.

Not sure how useful the extra heads will be since the differences will only be visible on close examination. The diamond plates will give you different regiments. We will fit as many extra heads as we can on the sprue so you can take this opportunity to make some noise here as to what you want to see.

I am glad that HAT is first going to release marching figures. I like the full dress, but I would like to see a head or two with shako covers, even with the 1815 uniform. I also really like the head variants and if needed, its rather easy to carve down the gaiters to make long pants. I have done it with figures in the above the knee gaiters and it should work with the shorter gaiters as well.
I will buy a box or two of these figures but I hope that HAT will also make french line in the pre-1812 uniform which was worn for most the the Napoleonic wars. The Bardin uniform is good for Waterloo but its unclear how many were wearing it in 1812 or even 1814. I would rather have the first release of French in the long coat with knee high gaiters and extra heads in bicorns and covered shakos, but maybe this can be the second release.

These look very good. Wasn't there talk of adding water bottles the last time we were shown pictures of this set? Other than that they are ready to go. Congratulations on a great job.

@Rahway, no water bottles with the dress uniform. Campaign dress guys will have them.

Second on covered shako. And the plume looks far better for 1815 (re my comment on the command post).

Not convinced of diamond plate for 1815 so happy to pass on that, but the BdeP hat looks really useful. Need at least two elite heads per sprue in the shorter plume to make these useful

I would hope for a second set with action poses in the future - but will be great to get these in first instance
