HaTs hat swops are so versatile. They fit well and really change the charactor of the figure.
I'm going to do some of my rough paint jobs of some of the many Prussian units. Then maybe some convertions. I will have to buy some more boxs to do all the Troops.

It's 10-15 years later but maybe these fellows could be Hessians.
It should also be mentioned that Hat seems to have solved the sizing problems that visited the Landwehr. These SYW sets are the size of the Nap French elites in greatcoats.
All the poses in both sets are on the same 28mm x 18mm base. The two "advancing / at ready" and the "standing firing" fellows face lengthwise.
I too would like to see the Austrians. But first the Prussian command and Nap Bavarian command in E21 and the Nap Russian command and Landweher command in E22. We know those molds are completed since we have seen the test shots and so I would expect them to be out in the coming months.
Given a choice between building a Hessian contingent from these sets or:
BMC fusiliers, CTS grenadiers and Accurate British painted blue
I would consider these the better option.
Looks good . Can Hatblogger tell us if the Russian and Bavarian command sets are still going to get produced ?It would be a shame if those projects where to be left unfinished . Im buying as many as I can , honest . Not too bothered about the Spanish but I think the Austrians will sell really well. Cheers Martin
@martin, the Bavarian command are coming in E21 and the Russian and Landwehr command in E22.
Speaking of production, I noticed that Steve Weston's site is carrying a note that set 9009, French Dragoons, is out-of-production.

I think these 7YW Prussians are excellent, and I have 4 boxes already, 2 of each.
I agree that they can be used as Hessian's the German units deployed to the colonies were wearing older out of date uniforms that were much the same as the 7YW.
I intend to buy up some boxes of these to use the Grenadier Caps to convert Russians to Pavlov's.

I am not able to upload pictures on bloggs at the moment any one have any Idea why?
I definitely intend to use these guys to fill out my Hessian ranks even if the 7YW range isn't finished in 1/32 scale (though I hope it is).
When Revell stopped producing their figures I converted most of their 1/72 7YW sets to ARW using one method or another, mainly out of frustration over lack of new ARW and new 7YW sets to complete the range. Hopefully, HaT is about to remedy both problems.

I picked up two boxes. Nice. They may just work as generic "Hessians."
