1/32 Russian Infantry Command
Here's the Russian Infantry command set. There are only 4 poses in it, so we're going to duplicate the sergeant so you will get 2 sergeants per sprue. And there will be 1 to 6 extra grenadier shakos, depending on how many we can fit on. So that's the plan, unless there is a call for adding one of the action or marching figures here in place of the grenadier shako.

excellent figures - would of liked the fifer but these are great choices - extra heads are a great idea.

The heads I like, another action figure would also be well recieved....(by me)
Action !!!!!!!
I would like to add the advancing figure with bayonet up. He would offset the two at attention figures in the Action set.
Any chance of having a second figure carrying a flag? Russian units often carried two flags in the field and it makes a nice looking command stand of two flags, officer and drummer.
adding more in the head is good but need to put this face on the figures like that by cutting the flumet there was another regiment. aditional head and he had to add head palvov regiment. BlackCats as the company with its miniature coaster. sorry for the translation I do not speak English

The mitre cap , Yes that would be unique.
I agree with Anth. The mitre cap would be a better choice for a head swap. Then perhaps there could be some plumes to stick on to make grenadiers out of the figs without having to swap the whole head.
Nice set, some Pavlov heads would be nice, don't mind the second sergeant.
Black Cat offers the shako grenadiers in unpainted plastic. I believe that their plastic Pavlov grenadiers are only available as a factory painted set.
Some action or Marching poses would be a nic add :-)

Stan
Unfortunately, Pavlov heads are not one of the choices. The sculpting stage is already past for this set.
Why not have plumed helmets, and we cut them off (easier with the late thin plume than teh bushy early style)?
Now, a serious question (that I think I will put onto the forum as well):
What is the grand plan for these 54mm guys? I will not buy into them unless I feel there is a realistic chance of getting some cavalry and artillery (or crews). I know the moulding is expensive and hard to get variety, but without foot, horse and guns thesse are just not a flyer for me. So, H, can you fill me in on if there is hope. Thanks
@Marc, we need to start a thread here on the viability of 1/32 cavalry. We've already done this with a smaller group, I'd like to see what a wider audience thinks.
My sense would be that that something basic to cover types not produced presently or in the past would be good. For me this means a Russian/Austrian/Prussian dragoon or cuirassier set. Obviously all and any types would be useful but, unlike years ago, there is now scope to have significant Russian and Austrian infantry units and it would be nice to have these supplemented by, at least some, cavalry. Both the British and French can be supported by available cavalry sets even if these are not always comprehensive or entirely satisfactory. Thanks.
I agree with Neila's post ...
Hi - the cavalry is needed - there are too many collectors wanting these types of soldiers in 1/32nd. We are all aware of the existing sets being too thin (A call to arms) or too chunky/large with sabres more like bayonet length (italeri hussars/dragoons)or too oversized (italeri British light dragoons.
hat 1/32nd scale is proper and correct and that is why hat cavalry would be ideal to match these wonderful infantry figures. The choice of heads would be the answer with a choice of arms eg British Heavy Dragoons moulded with a standard helmet to portray 1st & 6th Dragoons & 1st-7th Dragoon Guards plus the bearskin as a spare part to do conversions for the famous 2nd Dragoons - Scots Greys and then a choice of arms sabres, pistols, carbines, bugler, standard bearer etc...
The choice of heads and arms means that less box sets would be required - just like Perry Miniatures have done with their 28mm French heavy cavalry where you can make the sets up as Carabiniers or Cuirassiers by simply choosing the correct head/helmet piece off the sprue. Hat just need to make the spare heads and a few spare arms I would buy 100 boxes if hat were to make decent cavalry and I am sure so would many other collectors and it would also catch the eye of others and encourage more interest.

I prefer the extra grenadier shakos.
The mittre will be available with the Prussians 7YW figures, so that is solved.
Cavalry and artillery are for me also a priority.
I have been converting other figures, not always with a good result, so looking out to be able to replace them.
As said before. "Standard" Cavalry/artillery figures with the choice of hats of various nations would do for me.
Cheers
Dirk
