It has been quite awhile since we heard last from them... I do hope the Austrians and Spanish will be ready soon. Still though I hope more napoleonic sets come out in the near future as my 1/32 peninsular war british army lacks greatly.

Just got back to painting my Napoleonics (Bavarian Light Infantry)after a few months break. I too would like to know if HaT are planning any new Napoleonic 1/32 set releases (was planning to buy big on the Austrian and Spanish sets)!

I cant help but think how cool it would be if Hat upsized there 1/72 Peninsular war British to 1/32 as I would just use them for 52nd light infantry at Waterloo now I would buy box after box of those..well enough to make up 2 squares.

I can't agree more Rob, that would be quite a lot of boxes considering the Anglo/allied infantry squares at Waterloo were about 500 men each. But the more the merrier!

There is no news.

Not Napoleonic interests only. We could have used the upcoming Byzantine Infantry from Hat very effectively during a huge 54mm battle on CRISIS (Antwerp) November first. A lot of exposure would have been their part amongst the crusader footmen. Details on the PMCD blog hosted by Dirk Donvil.

I hope they realise that the Napoleonic wars are more than one day in 1815 though . Will be interesting to see how they get on.

Clearly everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment. I hope the second golden age of plastic figures isn't over just yet but makers have all slowed down production.

Having said that, there are still more plastic figures available now than when I first became interested 60 odd years ago, so there isn't really any cause for complaint!

I do find it rather odd that even knowing that production of new sets has stopped posters still want their own niche specialities. Someone asking for Scots Greys always makes me chuckle. Italeri did them and I bet they were their worst seller - there was only one regiment!

I'd take that bet and raise you a box of Italeri Mamelukes! Hearing that the cost of production in China has quadrupled over the last couple of years. Think the Prussian landwehr and Russian infantry (command set is great) represent a quality slide from the glory days of French light infantry, Bavarians and wurttembergers. Think you are right re availability. I've purchased everything I need for Napoleonic war gaming against the day stocks are depleted.
Cheers
